Search costs / Search friction

The amount of work that users are required to put out in order to do a search and be matched with the product or job that they are seeking for is referred to as search costs. This concept is also referred to as search friction. Customers may back out of a transaction before it has even begun if the search prices are too high; therefore, the planning of an enjoyable search experience is an essential component of the architecture of your marketplace.
